Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician
As a DSP or MHRT at ESM you will spend most of your time working closely with the people we serve.
The folks that are served by ESM have a variety of needs. Some of the people we serve need help with community assistance. For example completing their banking, shopping, or attending doctors appointments. Other individuals ESM serves may need a bit more assistance such as completing hygiene and helping with a daily routine.
Day to day duties may vary depending on the individual you may be working with. ESM’s goal with all of it’s consumers is to make them part of there own community just like any other individual. With this being said you may spend parts or most of your day out in the community with the consumer. The consumers do a lot of things that you and I would do such as meeting new people, attending sporting events, concerts or other activities they may enjoy.
As an employee of ESM it’s important to be flexible. ESM serves individuals around the clock. Consumers can have a variety of hours from Day shift, evening shifts, and overnight shifts. Weekends and Holidays are also important as ESM operates twenty four hours a day seven days a week.
